The Repacked Podcast is a weekly podcast about Toys, Action Figures, Dolls, Brick-toys and all that plastic crack that we, your hosts, spend waaaay too much of our hard earned cash on.
Hi folks, this one ran a lot longer than I, Albie, thought it would – That said, I ALSO made the silly choice of adding a chapter AND CHAPTER IMAGE for every single TFCon thing we discussed. There are MANY chapters and MANY images in this episode and I wanted YOU, the listener, to be able to enjoy it. 😀 So I sincerely hope you do kick back, relax and let us take you through this fun episode as Andy, Craig, Kyle, Paul, Vince and myself take you through episode 98 of the Repacked Podcast. Now go. Tell your friends. We want to get 200 likes on our Facebook by ep 100! 🙂

LISTENER QUESTIONS from:Kenneth date:Tue, Sep 22, 2015 at 12:45 PM subject:Missed Toy Opportunities Okay! Figured (hah) I should throw a question your way!
What, in your opinion, are toy makers’ biggest missed opportunities? What are the licenses or characters you kinda wish certain toy manufacturers picked up, because you just know the output would be amazing? (Can just be stuff you really wish companies would make, as I don’t know enough about licensing and costs to genuinely call out missed business opportunities)
Some of mine are:
Why has NECA never made a Cthulhu? Cthulhu is both geekypopular and public-domain, right? Also he’s a perfect companion to Godzilla and Pacific Rim.
Why did Baymax never get an SH Figuart / Super Robot Chogokin? I’d pay through the nose for a properly articulated die-cast armored Baymax- and I thought the character was sufficiently popular in Japan– or at least in Asia.
Why did Jurassic World never get a toy line for high-end collectors? Hasbro’s able to do amazing high-end stuff, why did one of the biggest movies ever get such weak merch?
Why has no one revived Dino Riders. Guys, it’s like Jurassic World + Transformers + GI Joe. Where’s my ridiculous Michael Bay movie and endless merch? (Not that I’m a Michael bay fan, but somehow dino riders sounds like a better fit for him.)
from:Ivanhobe date:Fri, Sep 25, 2015 at 3:59 AM subject:Shinning Questions Hello there, Repacked Force.
Let me get you in on a little secret: I remember the 90’s. I really do! People tell I am crazy but its the truth!!
Funny thing is, back then there was an amazing, diverse and often bizarre variety of Toys (remember Gak?), but nowadays there doesn’t seem to be as much variety on the toys aisles. Really, maybe I am not going to the right places but lately I only really see action figures, Pop and Lego. A LOT of Lego. So my question to all of you is, is there a particular Toy or maybe even a Toy line from that bygone era that you would like to see making a comeback? Or do you fear that modern kids will not be EXTREME enough to handle it?
And because its (probably) a fundamental part of a balanced breakfast…
BONUS CRACK QUESTION: If you suddenly gained Magic Movie Making Powers after being bitten by a radioactive grasshopper that was struck by lighting while watching The Last Action Hero, which two toys from your collection would you cast in the ultimate buddy cop movie?
Watching Vanilla Ice videos on Youtube because i don’t even know anymore, Ivanhobe, The Extraordinary Fanboy.
