Benson Yee and Sal Cipriano jump back on the Mic and join Andy and Craig to talk New York Comic Con! Marvel Legends! DC Movies! Pacific Rim 2! Transformers! All manner of toys are discussed and frankly; we liked a lot of what we saw.
Best Figure: Thundercats Classics Lion-O (great to have this guy in scale with my MOTUC)
Best Vehicle: Masters of the Universe Classics Roton (great update to an iconic MOTU vehicle, great sculpt, comes with a new figure; the Skelcon, still has its action feature of the spinning blade, comes with an articulated flight stand)
Best Robot: Titans Return Soundwave (my fave TF character ever and a nice new big version of him)
Best Line: Four Horsemen’s Mythic Legions (great new 6″ line from the 4H that deals with my fave genre; sword and sorcery, great sculpts, articulation, paint, great range of characters: so far there’s dwarves, knights, skeletons, orcs, evil knights, a vampire
Best old toy: So last spring, I believe in March, I went to a fairly large toy show called the Columbus Toy Show, it’s put on twice a year and me and some of the Star Joes guys try to go to at least one of them, anyways I picked up the Hasbro WWF Roddy Piper, the showtime Beetlejuice from Kenner and Toxie from the Toxic Crusaders toy line, all three are on card and I’m choosing all 3, cuz they’re all equally great and crazy 90s goodness, all three cards and bubbles are very nice and they’re were all fairly cheap
Most Anticipated: series two of Mythic Legions (still waiting on giant Trolls which is still series one, series 2 will have Elves and more that still hasn’t been revealed)
And at that toy show I also bought this TMNT hockey player Leo, Leo is my fave turtle and ice hockey is my fave sport, I’ve played it all my life
In this week’s adventure Sal revs his Harley, Kyle discovers White Men Can’t Sit, Andy has a Vision and Craig finds his Phantom Grail. Then we answer some Facebook messages and do a quick news flash to finish up. TF Con is next week folks, so look for a big news week to follow!
Listener Question: Jurry Baker I’ve got (a few) questions(s) about Hasbro transformers. Last weekend I was finally able to pick up a Springer and Jetfire, pretty cheap. The pair of them cost me about € 60,- (About 90 dollars Australian). Both of them have some… well… Annoying QC issues. Jetfire had an incorrectly assembled hip joint (it was upside-down) but I flipped it around by turning it. Fixed most of his issues. But he has paint stains all over him. Springer is missing the pin in his gun. Plus some paint stains here and there. Any tips on how to fix this?
